Rusty’s film career started way back in 1970, with the timeless Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where he played the lead Oompa Loompa!

After a couple of British movies i.e. Disciple of Death (1972) and Blood Royal, Rusty went on to play a Jawa, Kabe and Gonk Droid in George Lucas’s Star Wars (1977). Little did anyone know what a big classic this was to turn into!

Next movie up for Rusty was Mel Brooks’ The History of the World Part 1 (1981). Rusty played the part of Le Muff in the French revolution sequence. Flash Gordon (1980) was next and being a master of no less than 44 musical instruments it came as no surprise that Rusty was chosen to be a musician in Willow (1988).

More films followed including U.F.O. (1993, playing Henry the Eighth!), The Spiral Staircase (2000, stunting for a 6-year-old girl), Funny Bones (1995, bagpipe playing dwarf), Day Release (an evil accountant), and no less than six Harry Potter movies!

In the latest, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011), Rusty was thrilled to be given the part of The Chief Bank Teller! (He also appears in Universal’s “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” on The Gringotts Ride!

Television too has played a major part in Rusty Goffe’s life. British sitcoms as Are You Being Served (Suitor for Mrs. Slocombe) and The Monkey, Allo Allo (Pierre LeGrand – Steeplejack!) and The League of Gentlemen (two Series and the Christmas Special playing Simba of Papa Lazarous Circus!) are just a few programs which have carried his name.

Rusty loves Christmas time and was seen in the seasonal movie Fred Claus (2007), where he played Frosty the Barman.

Rusty was also involved in Terry Pratchett’s The Colour of Magic playing Lackjaw the Jeweler and, was he was absolutely thrilled to be opposite the camera to the legendary director Ken Russell in Mr. Russell’s last ever movie A Kitten for Hitler! (2007)

When Rusty thought of retiring, he was offered a part in BBC Televisions Doctor Who playing Little John in the episode “The Robots of Sherwood”! He couldn’t resist doing it!
